FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON:
Q: Do care providers undergo
rigorous criminal, abuse registry and reference background
checks?
A:
Dubols carefully screens all our care providers with in-depth
background checks so that you can be comfortable that your
loved ones are in good hands. Our care providers undergo extensive
reference checks, social security validation, national and
local background checks and motor vehicle records checks.
Q: Are your care providers
employees of Dubols Home Care?
A:
Yes. Our care providers are our
employees. Thus we are responsible for their social security,
federal and state taxes including their unemployment taxes
thus the family is not legally responsible.
Q: Are your care providers
trained before they are assigned to homes and do they receive
ongoing training?
A:
Each care provider completes
an intensive training program and is fully qualified to
provide care that is patient, professional, and personal.
LIABILITY:
Q: Are your care providers
bonded?
A:
Yes. Our care providers
are bonded so you can be rest assured that you are in good
hands.
Q: Is professional liability
insurance paid so the family is protected?
A:
Yes. Our agency is licensed and
insured to protect our clients and their loved ones.
Q: Are your care providers
licensed with the Maryland State Board of Nursing?
A:
Yes. Our care providers
are licensed with the board of nursing in Maryland. Each
care provider has a license number, which we verify for
authenticity.
QUALITY OF CARE:
Q: Can we reach your staff
24 hours in a day?
A: Yes.
Our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
through our emergency telephone line.
Q: Does your company provide
replacement care if the scheduled care provider cannot make
it to work?
A:
Yes. Dubols Home Care sends
in a replacement without any additional charge for the period
of time that the scheduled care provider cannot make it
to work.
Q: Does your company provide
a written care plan?
A: Yes.
Dubols Home Care begins with a detailed written care plan
for each client. In creating the care plan we consider all
levels of care and types of services that might be needed.
Q: Does your company involve
the family and provide feedback about care?
A: Dubols
Care coordinator is assigned to monitor the elder client’s
activities and care, and to be the point of contact for
the client’s family.
